'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is willing to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he inked when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the initial major honor of his notable career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane return to England, where he needs 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would seriously consider prolonging his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and lately became the fastest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.

"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Future success with Bayern Munich is Kane's main focus
  • The option of a Premier League return has noticeably decreased
